  • Be sold or otherwise disposed of in Zimbabwe; or

  • Remain for an unbroken period of 10 days in Zimbabwe; or

  • Be used to uplift and transport goods from one place within Zimbabwe and to unload such goods at another place within Zimbabwe; or

  • Be used to uplift and transport passengers from one place within Zimbabwe and to unload such passengers at another place within Zimbabwe unless such passengers are traveling in the vehicle during the course of a journey commenced by them in the vehicle outside Zimbabwe.

We retain the right to give one month's notice of cancellation of this surety.

BY Definition: It is documentthat guarantees the vehicle that is temporarily imported into Zimbabwe for the sole purpose of carrying passengers and their baggage/goods to and from or through Zimbabwe.

Why our CVG works 100% with the ETIP

The Electronic Temporary Import Permit (ETIP)system is already accessible on the ZIMRAwebsite. All drivers must complete this form online and keep the reference number. Upon arriving at the border, the driver presents the reference number to a customs officer, who will print the ETIP. After making the necessary payments, the driver is thenallowed to enter Zimbabwe.

Why our CVG works 100% with the ETIP

When exiting Zimbabwe, the driver must acquit the ETIP by submitting it to a customs officer, who will officially close the ETIP in the system. Once acquitted, the driver can apply for a new ETIP on their next trip. If a driver fails to acquit the ETIP, ZIMRAwill follow up through a clearing agent, where we introduce a special tracking toolto manage this process effectively.

Enhancing Control and Verification

  • Geolocation Tracking: We propose implementing geolocation tracking to capture exit details, including the border post, time of departure, and passport stamp verification.
  • Real-Time Notifications: We recommend receiving automated notifications via a designated platform or email, confirming that the driver has exited the border and completed all formalities.
  • Certificate of Location: In cases where an ETIP is not acquitted, drivers will need to upload a Certificate of Location—a document signed by the vehicle owner confirming its location and stamped by the nearest police station or customs office.
  • DirectAccess to the ZIMRA Portal: Our platform will direct clients to the ZIMRA website, enabling them to complete the ETIP application easily.
  • Reference Number Storage: Once a client completes the ETIP, our system will store the reference number. If a client forgets it, we can retrieve it and track its status until it is acquitted.

Enhancing Control and Verification

We recognize the risks of scamming, identity theft, and document fraud. To combat these issues, we will incorporate QR codeson all CVGsto verify authenticity. We seek expert guidance on implementing this security feature effectively.
